Congress Leadership's Verdict is Absolute: Karnataka Minister on Power Sharing Discussions

Bengaluru, December 5 (NationPress) Addressing the rumors regarding a potential power-sharing agreement between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar, Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara stated on Thursday that the decision from the Congress high command would be definitive.
While speaking to the media in Bengaluru, Parameshwara remarked, "Such an arrangement is unfeasible. Ultimately, whatever the high command decides will be final, and we are committed to it."
"None of us have ever contradicted the high command's decisions, and we will accept whatever they determine," Parameshwara emphasized.
He went on to say, "I am not aware of any such agreement. I have inquired with many individuals in New Delhi and the state, and no one has verified it."
"Even Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has already stated that no such agreement exists. Let them (D. K. Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah) manage everything on their own," he asserted.
Supporters of Shivakumar allege that there is a deal between CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM to alternate the CM's position for 2.5 years each.
In response to Siddaramaiah's comments, Shivakumar stated that whatever the Chief Minister said was conclusive.
This situation has once again brought the topic of leadership change within the Karnataka Congress government into the spotlight.
Discussing the large rally organized by the party in Hassan, Parameshwara mentioned that the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) and the Swabhimani Federation have been collaboratively organizing a convention, and there is no ambiguity regarding this.
He added that some individuals are attempting to foster a narrative of confusion.
Parameshwara articulated, "While certain subjects are not suitable for discussion in government events, this convention will provide a platform to address political issues."
"It is crucial to inform the public of the truth. We will also politically counter the allegations made by the opposition on various matters," he stated.
He underscored, "This is a Congress party convention, and there are no factions within our organization. Unlike the BJP, which consists of three distinct groups, we are united and working together to govern. The BJP and JD(S) may attempt to alienate us from the public, but that is not feasible."
