New Delhi, Feb 14 (NationPress) In a significant organizational change on Friday, the Congress party has introduced a set of new general secretaries and state in-charges for 11 states and union territories.

AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge appointed former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel as the general secretary in charge of Punjab, taking over from Harish Chaudhary, who has been reassigned to Madhya Pradesh.

Senator Syed Naseer Hussain from Karnataka is now the general secretary for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, replacing Bharatsinh Solanki. A statement from AICC general secretary (organization) K.C. Venugopal confirmed that Naseer Hussain has stepped down from his previous role connected to the Congress president’s office.

Additionally, Rajani Patil, another Rajya Sabha member, has been appointed as the in-charge for Himachal Pradesh & Chandigarh, succeeding senior leader Rajeev Shukla.

Meenakshi Natrajan, a former MP from Madhya Pradesh, will now oversee Telangana, replacing Deepa Dasmunshi, who will maintain her role as AICC in-charge for Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Furthermore, B. K. Hariprasad has been designated as the in-charge for Haryana, taking over from Dipak Babaria. Giri Chodankar is now responsible for Tamil Nadu & Puducherry.

Ajay Kumar Lallu has been assigned as the new in-charge for Odisha, while K. Raju will oversee Jharkhand.

Sapatagiri Sankar Ulaka will manage Congress activities in Manipur, Tripura, Sikkim & Nagaland, and Krishna Allavaru is the new in-charge for Bihar.

The party has acknowledged the valuable contributions of the outgoing general secretaries/in-charges, including Dipak Babaria, Mohan Prakash, Bharatsinh Solanki, Rajeev Shukla, Ajoy Kumar, and Devender Yadav.
