New Delhi, Dec 29 (NationPress) In response to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's pointed criticisms aimed at the Congress Party and its leadership, JD(U) National Spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan Prasad expressed concerns on Monday, stating that the party is on the path to political irrelevance if Rahul Gandhi persists in his current leadership approach.

Prasad highlighted the increasing discontent within the Congress, warning that the party could encounter significant troubles soon unless it engages in profound self-reflection.

“Should Rahul Gandhi continue his leadership in the same manner, it won't be long before the Congress risks losing its significance in India. The internal dissatisfaction is escalating. Thus, the party must undertake serious introspection and implement necessary reforms,” stated Rajeev Ranjan Prasad.

Reinforcing these sentiments, Uttar Pradesh Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar also supported Amit Shah's remarks, launching a critical attack against Rahul Gandhi. “Amit Shah's observations are valid. His contributions have been beneficial for the nation. Rahul Gandhi consistently speaks against the country, whether at home or abroad,” Rajbhar asserted.

These comments followed Amit Shah's jibe at Rahul Gandhi and the Congress during a gathering in a village near Ahmedabad.

Shah remarked that a political party cannot anticipate electoral victories if it consistently opposes what resonates with the populace, adding that comprehending this “simple logic” is beyond his ability to convey to Rahul Gandhi.

“In a recent Lok Sabha debate, Rahul Gandhi posed an unusual question to me: ‘Why does only my party lose elections every time?’ Instead of seeking answers from the public, he directed his question at me. Rahul baba, you'll find the answer if you comprehend the two initiatives I've introduced here,” Shah explained.

The BJP leader further noted that Rahul Gandhi should not be astonished by repeated electoral losses, declaring that the Congress would also face defeat in the forthcoming Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. “Gandhi should not tire of losing, as the Congress is sure to lose the upcoming Assembly polls in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal,” Shah stated.

Emphasizing what he termed as the BJP's ideological connection with the masses, Shah articulated that the party's triumph is a result of aligning with public sentiments. “Our success is rooted in our connection with the people’s values. The Congress opposed the Ram Mandir, the surgical strikes against terrorists, the abrogation of Article 370, the Uniform Civil Code, the law against triple talaq, and our initiative to expel illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators,” he noted.

Sharpening his critique, Shah concluded with, “Now I ask you, how can you expect to receive votes if you oppose what the public favors? However, it seems beyond my ability to make Rahul baba grasp such straightforward logic, given that even his party members have failed to do so.”
