Bhopal, May 13 (NationPress) Controversy erupted as Senior BJP leader and Madhya Pradesh Tribal Affairs Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah made disparaging remarks regarding Indian Army's Colonel Sofiya Qureshi. In a video that circulated on social media, Shah was quoted saying, "Those who harmed and took away our Hindu sisters' 'sindoor' (vermilion) in Pahalgam, PM Modi sent their own sister (Sofiya Qureshi) to demean and seek vengeance."
He further stated, "Since PM Modi couldn't remove their (Pakistanis) garments himself, he dispatched a woman from their own community (Muslim) to accomplish it."
These contentious comments were made during a public event on Monday, as indicated by the banner behind Minister Shah in the video.
