In several updates on social media, the Chief Minister also extended her gratitude to the PM on behalf of the people of Delhi for the execution of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which ensures health security for citizens.

Regarding Rana, CM Gupta remarked, “The successful extradition of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks key conspirator, Tahawwur Rana, sends a powerful message globally: This is #NewIndia, which neither forgives nor forgets.”

She praised the nation’s diplomats for their unwavering commitment, which led to the extradition of the individual responsible for the horrific 2008 attacks, claiming the lives of 166 individuals and injuring over 238 others.

In her post about Rana’s extradition on social media platform X, she stated, “This successful extradition is a result of the relentless endeavors by Hon'ble PM Shri @narendramodiji and team Bharat at the highest echelons, marking it as a significant diplomatic victory for our nation. It's a tribute to the heroes of 26/11 — we honor them and continue to pursue justice for them.”

The Delhi government’s home department has instructed the authorities at Tihar Jail to prepare special arrangements for Rana’s judicial custody following the completion of his 18-day questioning by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

The NIA confirmed that it had secured Rana's extradition from the US after years of dedicated efforts and after the terrorist mastermind's last-minute attempts to halt his extradition from the US were unsuccessful.

Rana was transported to the national capital, accompanied by teams from NSG and NIA, including senior officials, on a special flight from Los Angeles on Thursday.

In another update regarding health services in Delhi, CM Gupta thanked PM Modi for the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which had been obstructed by the previous Aam Aadmi Party government since 2018.

In her post, she expressed, “Thank you, Honourable Prime Minister Mr. @narendramodiji. We are fortunate to have visionary leadership like yours. Public service has always been a priority for you, and under your guidance, the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Delhi has become a reality.”

CM Gupta’s expression of gratitude towards the PM came just moments after the latter praised the launch of the scheme in Delhi.

Taking to X, PM Modi remarked, “A revolutionary step for Delhi's health sector! This mission of the double-engine government will be immensely beneficial for countless brothers and sisters here. I am thrilled that the people of Delhi will now also be able to receive treatment under the Ayushman Yojana.”

Launched in 2018, PM-JAY offers an annual health coverage of Rs 5 lakh per family for secondary and tertiary hospital care, targeting economically vulnerable populations. This scheme is recognized as the world's largest government-funded healthcare program.
