New Delhi, March 10 (NationPress) Drawing inspiration from her days of student activism, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta engaged with ABPV women activists and students on Monday to gather their insights for the Viksit Delhi Budget 2025, which she plans to unveil in the Assembly between March 24 and 26.

“I was reminded of my experiences as an ABVP activist,” she expressed after participating in a discussion with women students from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) at an event in Central Delhi.

“During our discussions, I actively sought their suggestions for Delhi’s Budget 2025-26. I also inquired about their vision for the city and their expectations from the Budget,” CM Gupta stated post-event, emphasizing education, health, security, and development as primary focuses of her government.

Previously, on Sunday, the Chief Minister engaged with women to obtain their input for the Budget. She praised the spirit of the women of the city, describing them as engines of development, while assuring them of her commitment to their welfare.

While addressing women at an event commemorating International Women’s Day in Central Delhi, the Delhi CM encouraged women to serve as role models for others.

“In Delhi, I promise that our government will ensure four fundamental facilities – education, health, security, and development,” she affirmed.

On Friday, the CM sanctioned a program to provide eligible women with Rs 2,500 monthly financial aid under the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, allocating Rs 5,100 crore for the fiscal year.

This scheme received approval during a Cabinet meeting led by CM Gupta and was highlighted by BJP National President J.P. Nadda at an event to celebrate International Women’s Day at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

“I commend PM Modi and CM Rekha Gupta for the Cabinet's approval of the Rs 2,500 per month Mahila Samriddhi Yojana for women in Delhi before this event,” he remarked.

Nadda further reiterated PM Modi’s commitment to fostering women-led development and outlined the initiatives by CM Gupta to enhance safety for women in Delhi, including increasing the number of CCTV cameras, expanding the fleet of Pink PCR vans staffed by women, enhancing the availability of pink toilets, and establishing one-stop centers for women to file complaints and seek legal aid.
