New Delhi, March 23 (NationPress) On the brink of unveiling her inaugural Delhi Budget, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated on Sunday that her administration is dedicated to aligning with the public's vision and assured that the Budget will cater to all segments of society.
During a ceremony celebrating Lord Adityanath's birth anniversary, the Chief Minister remarked, “We should draw inspiration from his principles and consistently work towards the betterment of society and the nation.”
Addressing the Budget, she affirmed, “Our government is focused on reflecting the public's vision. We pledge that this budget will benefit every section of society.”
In a message shared on the social media platform X, the Chief Minister expressed: “In a democracy, the public reigns supreme; the thoughts and recommendations from our revered public guide our actions. Your involvement fortifies our commitment to serve. The public's interests are our top priority, and we are dedicated to ongoing enhancement and effective execution. Only with your support and trust can we achieve new heights.”
Additionally, she attended an event to reveal a restored bust of Shaheed Bhagat Singh in Malviya Nagar, south Delhi, on Martyrs' Day.
Chief Minister Gupta also criticized the former AAP government for failing to honor Bhagat Singh and exploiting his legacy for political gain.
“They neglected the damage inflicted on Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s bust in this park,” she stated.
Encouraging citizens to join Prime Minister Narendra Modi in enhancing the system and contributing to national development, she said, “Do not blame the authorities for poor facilities or sanitation issues surrounding you. Take the initiative to clean and beautify the city, just like PM Modi did.”
She emphasized that each resident of Delhi can play a role in beautifying the city, cleaning the Yamuna, and combating air pollution.
She urged individuals to check their vehicles’ emissions levels to reduce air pollution. “Who can you mislead by operating a polluting vehicle? The harmful fumes will affect you as well,” she insisted, labeling actions benefiting society as true acts of patriotism.
“We do not need to sacrifice our lives for the nation, but we must live and serve it,” she emphasized, noting that the current generation will not have the chance like Shaheed Bhagat Singh to lay down their lives for the country.
