New Delhi, March 23 (NationPress) On the eve of unveiling her first Delhi Budget, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated on Sunday that her administration is dedicated to aligning with the public's vision and assured that the Budget will address the needs of all segments of society.

At a gathering commemorating Lord Adityanath's birth anniversary, the Chief Minister remarked, “We should derive motivation from his principles and persistently work for the betterment of society and the nation.”

Regarding the Budget, the Chief Minister emphasized, “Our government is committed to functioning in accordance with the public's aspirations. We assure you that the Budget will serve every section of society.”

In a statement shared on the social media platform X, she mentioned: “In democracy, the public is sovereign; the thoughts and suggestions of our esteemed citizens guide us. Your involvement fortifies our determination to serve. The interests of the public are our top priority, and we pledge to pursue ongoing enhancements and effective execution. Only with your support and trust can we achieve new milestones.”

She also participated in an event to unveil a restored bust of Shaheed Bhagat Singh in Malviya Nagar, south Delhi, on Martyrs' Day.

Chief Minister Gupta criticized the previous AAP government for allegedly disrespecting Bhagat Singh and exploiting his legacy for political gain.

“They neglected the damage inflicted on Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s bust in this park,” she stated.

Encouraging citizens to join Prime Minister Narendra Modi in enhancing the system and participating in nation-building, she remarked, “Do not blame the authorities for inadequate facilities or unsanitary conditions around you. You can take initiative in cleaning and beautifying the city, similar to how PM Modi himself took action.”

She urged every Delhi resident to play their part in beautifying Delhi, cleaning the Yamuna, and combating air pollution.

Additionally, she encouraged the public to mitigate air pollution by ensuring their vehicles’ emissions are within acceptable limits. “Who can you deceive by operating a polluting vehicle? The harmful gases will affect you as well,” she stated, describing efforts for societal welfare as genuine acts of patriotism.

“We do not need to sacrifice our lives for the nation; we must live and serve it,” she added, emphasizing that the current generation may never have an opportunity like Shaheed Bhagat Singh to give their life for the country.
