Jaipur, March 1 (NationPress) The Delhi Depot of Rajasthan Roadways has been on a steady path to profitability for the last five months, showcasing a remarkable turnaround in its financial results. The depot achieved a revenue increase of ₹1.12 crore in February this year compared to the same month last year.

Chief Manager of Delhi Depot, Pulkit Kumar, revealed that the overall booking revenue for February 2025 reached ₹3.37 crore, which is an increase from ₹2.25 crore in February 2024.

Pulkit Kumar attributed this achievement to the leadership of Rajasthan Roadways chairperson Shubhra Singh and managing director Purushottam Sharma, along with the commitment of the booking clerks.

He emphasized that the recent launch of UPI-based online payment services in ETIM (Electronic Ticket Issuing Machines) at the Delhi Depot has been rolled out under directives from the Jaipur headquarters.

This innovation has greatly boosted revenue, with UPI transactions alone contributing ₹34 lakh in February 2025.

Notably, this represents 20 percent of Rajasthan Roadways' total ETIM UPI transactions across all depots.

Over the last five months, the Delhi Depot’s monthly booking revenue has shown a consistent upward trend.

In October 2024, it was ₹2.67 crore; in November 2024: ₹3.45 crore; in December 2024: ₹3.04 crore; in January 2025: ₹2.94 crore; and in February 2025, it climbed to ₹3.37 crore.

Pulkit Kumar congratulated the booking clerks of the Delhi Depot, recognizing their hard work and commitment in reaching this financial achievement.

This ongoing success underscores Rajasthan Roadways' dedication to efficiency, innovation, and passenger convenience, setting a positive benchmark for future operational enhancements, according to officials.

The Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) operates depots in Delhi, including ISBT Kashmiri Gate and ISBT Sarai Kale Khan.

Officials noted that since October last year, Roadways Chairman Shubhra Singh implemented new strategies, and the management commenced operations of 8 new deluxe AC buses on the New Delhi-Jaipur route, significantly boosting the booking income of the Delhi depot.

They added that the introduction of these new buses has allowed Rajasthan Roadways to maintain a strong passenger load, despite intense competition from private AC bus operators on the New Delhi-Jaipur route, by ensuring the availability of its deluxe vehicles.
