Delhi: Kejriwal Absent from NDMC Meeting; Resolution Passed Against 'Mahila Samman Yojana'

New Delhi, Dec 26 (NationPress) The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) convened a meeting on Thursday where they unanimously adopted a resolution condemning former Chief Minister of Delhi and NDMC member Arvind Kejriwal over the deceptive 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana' and 'Sanjeevani Yojana' introduced by the Delhi government.
Kejriwal was notably absent for the fourth consecutive meeting of the newly formed council, as acknowledged by the council members.
During a press briefing at the NDMC headquarters, located at Palika Centre, Vice-Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal stated that on May 25, 2022, the council had granted initial approval for the rollout of the Central government's flagship 'Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana' (AB-PMJY) for residents of the New Delhi area.
In that particular meeting, the then Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was present; however, he is now obstructing the implementation of this scheme for political advantage.
"Furthermore, he is deceiving the people of Delhi with fraudulent initiatives such as the 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana' and 'Sanjeevani Yojana', which falsely guarantee Rs 2,100 monthly for women and other benefits for citizens aged 60 and above," Chahal remarked.
The Women and Child Development Department and the Health and Family Welfare Department of the Delhi government clarified through media channels that no such official schemes are in existence, asserting that no registrations or applications will be processed for these programs, he added.
At this event, Sarita Tomar, General Secretary of Delhi BJP Mahila Morcha, stated, "The 'Chief Minister Women's Honour Scheme' represents a complete deception by Arvind Kejriwal. This initiative is merely a tactic to mislead the women of Delhi."
BJP leader Anil Valmiki expressed, "As a resident of New Delhi, I have yet to witness Arvind Kejriwal advocate for the citizens of New Delhi, nor does he maintain an office in New Delhi, which clearly shows his disregard for the people in this region. His focus is solely on pursuing his political aspirations."
Chahal, a prominent BJP figure, also urged all citizens of New Delhi to exercise caution and refrain from engaging with schemes like the 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana' and 'Sanjeevani Yojana', advising against sharing personal data such as bank account numbers, voter ID, phone numbers, or any sensitive information.
"Sharing such information may result in it becoming public, leading to potential cybercrimes or financial fraud. In such instances, citizens would bear full responsibility for any repercussions and associated risks," he cautioned.
