Unauthorized Claims Flagged: Delhi Govt Departments Dispute AAP's 'Election' Initiatives

New Delhi, Dec 25 (NationPress) The Department of Women and Child Development and the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Delhi, released a public statement on Wednesday challenging the assertions about the 'Sanjeevani Scheme' and 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana.'

The Women and Child Development Department noted that it has been informed through various media and social media discussions that a political entity is claiming to provide ₹2,100 monthly to women in Delhi under the 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana.'

The department made it clear, 'No such scheme has been notified by the Delhi government.'

The public announcement, which appeared in national publications, stressed, 'Since no such scheme is in existence, the question of accepting forms or applications for registration under this non-existent scheme does not arise. Any private individual or political party collecting forms or information under this name is committing fraud and has no authority.'

In a similar vein, the Health and Family Welfare Department rejected claims of offering free medical treatment for individuals aged 60 and over at all government or private hospitals in Delhi, irrespective of income.

The department advised the public to ignore such declarations, labeling them 'misleading and unauthorized.' Furthermore, it stated that it would not take responsibility for any liabilities or fraudulent actions resulting from these false claims.

These announcements follow the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) door-to-door registration initiative for two purported welfare programs: the 'Mahila Samman Yojana,' which promises ₹2,100 monthly to women, and the 'Sanjeevani Yojana,' which guarantees free medical treatment for individuals over the age of 60.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seized this moment to criticize AAP and its national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.

Delhi BJP vice president Kapil Mishra attacked Kejriwal for misleading the public, stating, 'What a big fraud Kejriwal is committing with the sisters of Delhi. On one side, Kejriwal is getting women to fill forms; on the other side, the Delhi government's notice in today's newspapers says there is no such scheme, and these forms are fake.'

Mocking the AAP leader, he concluded, 'Wah re Farjiwal.'
