AAP Launches Door-to-Door Registration Initiative for Two New Schemes

New Delhi, Dec 22 (NationPress) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced the launch of registrations for two new welfare initiatives -- Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana -- set to begin on December 23.

During a press conference held alongside Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Kejriwal detailed the advantages of the schemes and the door-to-door registration campaign that AAP volunteers will carry out to promote comprehensive involvement.

Under the Mahila Samman Yojana, every woman in Delhi will receive Rs 2,100 monthly. This program is designed to assist women in managing household expenses and pursuing higher education.

Emphasizing the significance of this scheme, Kejriwal stated, "We recognize the immense efforts of mothers and sisters. Many juggle household responsibilities while also working. This Rs 2,100 will aid daughters in completing their college studies and help housewives cope with increasing household costs or achieve personal dreams, like purchasing a saree or suit for themselves."

"Since the announcement of this scheme, we have been overwhelmed with inquiries regarding registration. Today, I want to declare that registration will begin tomorrow. There is no need to queue or waste time. Our AAP teams will come to your homes, register the women, and provide a registration card. Please keep this card safe," added the AAP convenor.

Kejriwal also explained the Sanjeevani Yojana, a healthcare initiative providing free medical services for senior citizens aged 60 and above. Under this program, the Delhi government will cover all treatment expenses in both public and private hospitals, regardless of income.

"The middle class, which has tirelessly contributed to the nation’s growth through tax payments, often feels overlooked during retirement. One of the primary concerns for many is affording healthcare in their later years. I assure all senior citizens that the AAP government will manage your medical costs," Kejriwal affirmed.

Registration for both schemes will commence simultaneously, with AAP teams visiting households to facilitate enrollment. Kejriwal stressed that all Delhi voters are eligible for these schemes and encouraged individuals to keep their voter IDs ready.

He also indirectly criticized the opposition, accusing them of canceling voter IDs to prevent people from accessing welfare benefits. "Verify if your voter ID is active. If it has been canceled, notify us immediately, and we will ensure its reinstatement," he stated.

Kejriwal, along with Atishi and Manish Sisodia, announced plans to personally visit specific areas to initiate the registration process.

"This marks a vital advancement towards empowering women and ensuring healthcare for the elderly. Tomorrow, the campaign will commence vigorously across Delhi," he concluded.
