Plans in Motion to Detain CM Atishi: Major Assertion by Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi, Dec 25 (NationPress) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal asserted on Wednesday that there are plans to detain Delhi Chief Minister Atishi by concocting false charges in the forthcoming days. He indicated that preparations are also underway to execute raids on senior party officials in advance of the 2025 Delhi Assembly election.

This revelation follows the Health and Family Welfare department of the national capital raising concerns regarding the current AAP's registration initiative for the Sanjeevani Yojana, a program designed to offer complimentary medical treatment to residents over 60 at both private and public hospitals. A public notice released in newspapers on Wednesday stated that there is no existing Sanjeevani scheme. Furthermore, it noted that no one has been authorized to gather personal information from elderly residents or issue any cards. The department warned that any person or political entity collecting such forms under the guise of this scheme is engaging in fraudulent activities without official sanction.

Kejriwal suggested that Chief Minister Atishi would soon face arrest in a fabricated case, as certain individuals are unsettled by the AAP government's announcement of welfare programs such as the Mahila Samman Yojana and the Sanjeevani Yojana.

“These individuals are profoundly disturbed by the Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana. They have devised a plan to arrest Atishi ji within the next few days by creating a false case. Prior to that, searches will be conducted on senior AAP leaders. I will be conducting a press conference on this today at 12 o'clock,” Kejriwal stated in a post on X.

The two prominent AAP schemes -- Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana -- were introduced in anticipation of the Delhi Assembly Elections set for early next year. Kejriwal commenced the registration process for these two initiatives aimed at women and senior citizens on Tuesday and engaged in a door-to-door campaign.

Eligible women who do not pay taxes will receive Rs 1,000 per month under the Mahila Samman Yojana. The Sanjeevani Yojana pledges free healthcare in government and private hospitals for senior citizens should AAP secure power.

This development follows visits by AAP leaders, including Chief Minister Atishi and party convener Arvind Kejriwal, to various regions, launching doorstep registration for the Sanjeevani Yojana and Mahila Samman Yojana.
