New Delhi, March 7 (NationPress) In a significant action as part of its sustained anti-drug initiative, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) from the Crime Branch of Delhi Police has successfully taken down an interstate drug distribution network. During this operation, two suspects were apprehended, and a variety of narcotics with a market value exceeding Rs 2 crore were confiscated.

A press statement revealed that a case has been filed at the Crime Branch police station under FIR No. 32/26 dated February 22, 2026, invoking relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

The operation occurred on the night of February 21, following actionable intelligence. Responding to this information, a team from the ANTF executed a search warrant at a residence located in Moti Nagar, West Delhi.

This operation was spearheaded by Inspector Shiv Kumar of the ANTF, under the vigilant oversight of ACP Satendra Mohan. The raiding team comprised SI Dev, ASI Neeraj, HC Deepak, HC Sharwan, HC Narender Singh Yadav, HC Surjit, HC Amit, W/HC Neetu, and Constable Vikrant. Officials confirmed that all necessary legal protocols under the NDPS Act were meticulously adhered to during the raid.

During the operation, law enforcement officials arrested the principal suspect, Sarthak Tyagi (30), a property dealer residing in Moti Nagar, from a room on the upper level of his home. A thorough search of the property yielded a range of narcotic and psychotropic substances, indicating organized drug trafficking.

The confiscated drugs included 1,016 grams of organic ganja, 1,112 grams of charas, 17 grams of MDMA, one gram of ecstasy tablets, and four grams of psilocybin mushrooms. Authorities estimate the street value of the seized substances to be approximately Rs 1 crore.

Following intense questioning, investigators learned that Tyagi was part of a broader interstate drug distribution operation. Using information provided by Tyagi, police identified a supplier named Kulpreet Singh, also known as Sunny (29), from Ashok Vihar, Delhi.

Swiftly acting on this intelligence, a Crime Branch team led by SI Rohit captured Kulpreet Singh in relation to the case. Initial investigations suggest that the co-accused may also have ties to a narcotics case in Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh, although this is still being investigated.

Records indicate that Tyagi has been previously involved in criminal activities, including cases from 2018 under Section 307 of the IPC and from 2015 under Section 308 of the IPC at the Moti Nagar police station.

Authorities have stated that further investigations are ongoing to uncover additional members of the interstate drug distribution network and dismantle the larger narcotics operation.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjeev Kumar Yadav emphasized that the Crime Branch is dedicated to a zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking and will persist in conducting intelligence-led operations to combat the narcotics trade and promote a drug-free Delhi.
