The arrested individuals, identified as Pardeep Singh (31) and Ashish (32), both hail from Sonipat, Haryana. Following actionable intelligence received on April 15, the police set up a trap in the Matiyala area, successfully intercepting a black Verna car occupied by the suspects. Upon searching the vehicle, a semi-automatic Brata pistol, manufactured in Italy, along with four live cartridges, was discovered.

During the operation, the black Verna was intercepted, and upon searching the vehicle, a semi-automatic pistol along with four live cartridges was recovered.”
The operation was conducted under the guidance of senior officials, as part of a zero-tolerance policy toward crime spearheaded by DCP Dwarka Kushal Pal Singh. This initiative aims to eliminate the flow of illegal firearms and dismantle the gang networks in the area.
During the interrogation, the suspects allegedly disclosed their connections to the Neeraj Bawana gang, admitting that one of them was seeking retaliation for the death of a relative due to a previous gang feud. The press release noted that the suspects had been acting suspiciously for several days, suggesting they were planning to commit a crime.
