New Delhi, April 26: The Anti-Gangster Squad (AGS) of Delhi Police's Crime Branch arrested a 24-year-old arms supplier, Aditya Mishra, allegedly linked to the notorious Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu gang on April 26 near UER-II, Pochanpur Village, Dwarka. The operation resulted in the recovery of three illegal firearms and multiple live cartridges, dealing a significant blow to one of Delhi's most active criminal networks. The arrest was executed following credible intelligence inputs gathered by a dedicated Crime Branch team.

How the Arrest Unfolded

Acting on specific intelligence, a Crime Branch raiding team set up a trap near Pochanpur Village, Dwarka, intercepting Aditya Mishra, son of Ajay Kumar Mishra. Police officials stated that the accused attempted to flee upon being intercepted but was swiftly overpowered by the team.

During the initial search of the suspect, officers recovered one pistol along with two live cartridges from his possession. This led to the registration of FIR No. 75/26 under Section 25 of the Arms Act at PS Crime Branch, Delhi.

Following his arrest and subsequent interrogation, further disclosure by Mishra led to the additional recovery of one single-shot pistol with one live cartridge and one blank gun, bringing the total illegal weapons haul to three firearms.

Who Is the Kapil Sangwan Gang

Kapil Sangwan, also known as Nandu, is described by Delhi Police as a notorious gangster originally from the Dwarka-Najafgarh area of Delhi. He is currently believed to be operating from abroad, directing his criminal network remotely through associates using encrypted communication platforms — a growing challenge for law enforcement agencies across India.
