New Delhi, March 8 (NationPress) In honor of International Women’s Day and to foster the essence of women’s empowerment, an all-female bike rally was held in Delhi on Sunday, drawing enthusiastic participation from women riders throughout the city.

The rally centered around the theme "Confidence in Motion" and highlighted the motto: "Driving Force of Delhi".

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla graced the event alongside various political figures and community leaders who joined the rally to support women riders and underscore the increasing role of women in the nation's advancement.

In her address, CM Rekha Gupta welcomed Lok Sabha Speaker Birla, expressing gratitude for his presence in uplifting the women participants on this significant day. She stated, “We are honored to have Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla here to encourage us and extend his best wishes to all the sisters of Delhi.”

Regarding the importance of the rally, the Chief Minister highlighted that such events symbolize women's progress in the nation. “NBT organized this bike rally as a tribute to women’s empowerment. This initiative is not merely a bike rally; it illustrates how India is advancing in various sectors while ensuring women are integral to this progress. On International Women’s Day, I extend my heartfelt wishes to every woman and to everyone,” she remarked.

Numerous leaders from various political parties also participated in the rally, engaging with attendees.

Priyanka Chaturvedi expressed her joy at witnessing women confidently riding bikes, symbolically taking charge of their lives. She said, “Today, on Women’s Day, I had the opportunity to participate in this bike rally. It brings me immense joy to see so many women taking the reins of their own lives and progressing toward the nation’s advancement.”

Bansuri Swaraj conveyed her greetings to women nationwide and discussed the significance of women-led development. “Firstly, I extend my heartfelt greetings on International Women’s Day to the women of my country. Thanks to the persistent efforts of our esteemed PM Narendra Modi, India is not just advocating for women’s empowerment; it is laying the groundwork for a developed India driven by women’s leadership,” she noted.

Additionally, BJP MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat congratulated all participants while acknowledging the support from families encouraging women to take initiative. “Congratulations to all sisters on this momentous day. The male family members present here also deserve a warm acknowledgment. My best wishes go out to all participants gathered today,” she shared.

NDMC Vice Chairperson Kuljeet Singh Chahal remarked that the rally exemplifies the vision of empowering women across the nation. “Women’s empowerment, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is both a principle and a commitment. Here, we can clearly witness this commitment transforming into tangible achievements,” he stated.

Participants in the rally expressed their enthusiasm and motivation.

One woman rider expressed, “A woman embodies enthusiasm, progress, and determination. Every core rider should inspire the other women. This rally acts as a motivating force, particularly for those at home who will feel encouraged by us and eventually join in.”
