Delhi Minister for Social Welfare and SC/ST/OBC Welfare Ravinder Indraj Singh on Saturday, 25 July inaugurated a ₹1.89 crore main road construction project on the A & B Block Main Market Road in Shahbad Dairy, under the Chief Minister's Development Fund (CMDF). The event, held in Bawana Assembly Constituency, was attended by residents, public representatives, and officials of the concerned department.

What the Project Covers

The road construction work on the A & B Block Main Market Road, Shahbad Dairy is being undertaken at a cost of ₹1.89 crore under the CMDF. According to the Minister, the project is expected to significantly improve public connectivity and strengthen the area's civic infrastructure. This follows the laying of a foundation stone for a ₹65 lakh sewer line project in Rohini Sector-26 on 19 July, signalling a series of back-to-back infrastructure launches in the constituency.

Addressing residents at the inauguration, Ravinder Indraj Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Delhi government is continuously working towards the holistic development of the Capital's rural areas. He stated that the Chief Minister has given a clear directive that rural development should remain the highest priority and that there will be no shortage of funds for development works.

The Minister added that construction and upgradation of roads, sewer lines, drinking water pipelines, drains, and lanes are progressing steadily across Bawana Assembly Constituency. He underscored that the government's objective is to equip Delhi's villages with modern civic infrastructure.

Quality Accountability Stressed

Ravinder Indraj Singh directed all departments and executing agencies to complete construction works within the stipulated timeframe using high-quality materials. He made clear that no compromise on quality would be tolerated, and that accountability of the concerned agency would be fixed in the event of any quality-related complaint.

Broader Development Push in Bawana

The twin project launches — the ₹65 lakh sewer line in Rohini Sector-26 and the ₹1.89 crore road in Shahbad Dairy — are part of a wider infrastructure drive across Bawana constituency. Officials indicated that several more development projects are underway in the area, aimed at improving civic amenities and the overall quality of life for residents. The Delhi government has framed these initiatives as part of its commitment to balanced and inclusive development across the Capital's rural and semi-urban pockets.
