Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday, 28 July held a public hearing for residents of Bawana Assembly Constituency at the Chief Minister's Jan Seva Sadan, listening to their grievances and pledging prompt resolution. The meeting also saw the presentation of an invitation for a Deshori Karaj (Dharm Yajna) organised in memory of the late Shri Master Dhaniram Saharawat Ji.

What the Chief Minister Said

Sharing details of the meeting on X, Chief Minister Gupta wrote, 'Today, I met with citizens who came from the Bawana Assembly Constituency at the Chief Minister's Jan Seva Sadan. They informed me about their problems and presented an invitation letter for the Deshori Karaj (Dharm Yajna) organised in the sacred memory of the late Shri Master Dhaniram Saharawat Ji.'

She added, 'I assured the citizens that every necessary step will be taken for the timely and effective resolution of their problems.' Cabinet colleague Ravindra Indraj Singh was also present at the meeting.

CM Takes DTC Bus to Inspect Rohini Development Works

In a separate initiative the same day, Chief Minister Gupta and Cabinet Minister Ravindra Indraj Singh boarded a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus to travel from the Chief Minister Jan Seva Sadan to Rohini, conducting a ground-level review of development works and public amenities en route.

Posting about the visit on X, the Chief Minister wrote, 'I travelled from the Chief Minister Jan Seva Sadan to Rohini by DTC bus and took stock of various development works and citizen facilities along the way. During this, I reviewed the progress of works related to cleanliness, construction activities, and public amenities.'

₹1.89 Crore Road Project Inaugurated in Shahbad Dairy

Earlier in the week, Minister Ravindra Indraj Singh inaugurated a main road construction project on the A & B Block Main Market Road in Shahbad Dairy, Bawana Assembly Constituency. The project, valued at ₹1.89 crore, is being undertaken under the Chief Minister's Development Fund (CMDF).

Addressing residents, Singh said that under Chief Minister Gupta's leadership, the Delhi government is working towards the holistic development of the capital's rural areas. He emphasised that rural development remains the highest priority and that funds for development works will not be lacking.

Broader Infrastructure Push in Bawana

According to officials, construction and upgradation of roads, sewer lines, drinking water pipelines, drains, and lanes are progressing steadily across the Bawana Assembly Constituency. The government has stated its objective is to equip Delhi's villages with modern civic infrastructure and ensure balanced, inclusive development for all residents.

The ₹1.89 crore Shahbad Dairy road project is expected to improve public connectivity and strengthen the area's infrastructure, with local residents, public representatives, and departmental officials present at the inauguration. All eyes will now be on the pace of delivery on the assurances made to Bawana's residents.
