Jaipur, Jan 21 (NationPress) Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, who was admitted to the hospital after experiencing chest pain, is set to undergo angiography on Tuesday at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur.
The Principal of SMS Medical College and a senior cardiologist, Deepak Maheshwari, informed that Devnani, aged 77, would be discharged if the angiography results are normal.
Maheshwari mentioned, "Angiography will help ascertain if there are any cardiac issues. Devnani's health has improved significantly since Monday night, but he remains under ICU observation."
Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, the State Health Minister, visited SMS Hospital around 10 a.m. on Tuesday to meet with Devnani in the ICU, where he spent 15-20 minutes discussing his health with the doctors.
Devnani had recently traveled to Patna for the two-day All India Presiding Officers' Conference, which was inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
During the conference, he suddenly experienced chest pain and was taken to the Indira Gandhi Institute of Cardiology at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), where tests such as an ECG and 2-D Echo were performed.
Although angiography was suggested, Devnani opted out, stating he had a similar procedure last year.
Upon learning of his condition, the Rajasthan government arranged a special charter flight to Patna.
The flight included Deepak Maheshwari, another doctor, nursing staff, and Devnani's family members.
They returned with the Minister to Jaipur late Monday evening. Upon arrival at Jaipur airport, Devnani was taken directly to SMS Hospital and admitted to the Medical ICU for further treatment.
On Monday, Khinvsar remarked, "Vasudev Devnani has always prioritized his health. He walks five kilometers daily and frequently encourages others to adopt an active lifestyle. He had no previous health issues."
