The meeting, held at the District Police Office in Awantipora, included senior officers such as the SSP Awantipora, Addl. SP Awantipora, and all SDPOs along with Dy. SP SOGs.
During this review, the DGP focused on the ongoing security circumstances with particular attention to current CT operations, both kinetic and non-kinetic.
Furthermore, he examined the initiatives in place to combat drug abuse and other criminal activities throughout the Police District Awantipora.
The DGP underscored the importance of enhancing efforts against anti-national elements, drug-related crimes, and overall criminal activities.
He instructed the officers to implement strict and effective measures against individuals engaged in unlawful activities while encouraging them to maintain vigilance, discipline, and a proactive stance in their respective jurisdictions.

Since March 1, the DGP and other high-ranking police officials have been stationed in the Valley amid rising tensions related to anti-US and anti-Israel protests.
Over the past week, the DGP has visited various protest-impacted areas, conducting security review meetings to assess, coordinate, and implement measures aimed at restoring normalcy in the Valley.
Today, following six days of restrictions, all prohibitions in the Valley were lifted, leading to a return to normalcy with no reported incidents.
