The selected authors are attending a national camp during the New Delhi World Book Fair 2026, which runs from January 10 to 18 at Bharat Mandapam.
This Fair, hosted by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the National Book Trust, was inaugurated on January 10 by Pradhan.
During the interactive session, the authors presented brief insights on their upcoming manuscripts, developed under a six-month mentorship scheme.
Pradhan extended his congratulations to the young writers on their selection and urged them to leverage the mentorship period fully to create impactful books that would ignite a passion for reading, writing, and deep engagement with knowledge among India’s youth.
He highlighted the necessity of access to research materials and instructed that both physical and digital resources should be made available through the National Book Trust (NBT).
Furthermore, he emphasized that authors should have access to resources under the ‘One Nation, One Subscription’ (ONOS) initiative. To enhance their academic and research capabilities, he proposed that the selected authors be affiliated with central universities in their respective regions to further develop their manuscripts.
Pradhan expressed his delight in interacting with the emerging writers selected under PM-YUVA 3.0 and noted that the diversity represented in the room mirrored the rich tapestry of India.
The young authors are crafting works on themes such as the Contribution of the Indian Diaspora in Nation-building, the Indian Knowledge System, and the Makers of Modern India.
He added that the discussions also revolved around culture, technology, the pursuit of knowledge, and the national vision, indicating that the energy, confidence, and aspirations of these young authors reinforced his belief in the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
