On April 22, a tragic attack claimed the lives of 26 civilians, including 25 tourists and a local, in the Baisaran meadow of Pahalgam. The assailants targeted the victims based on their religion, with the local, identified as Syed Adil Hussain, killed while attempting to protect the tourists.
The attack sparked outrage across the nation, prompting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to assert that those responsible for the violence would face consequences beyond their imagination.
