New Delhi, Dec 5 (NationPress) Emerging from the financial setbacks of previous years, the Delhi Transport Corporation’s (DTC) average monthly revenue has surged by approximately 30 percent compared to last year, as stated by Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh on Friday.
The DTC has reported an average monthly revenue of Rs 93.96 crore from April 2025 to October 2025 in the current fiscal year, a significant rise from Rs 68.54 crore in the previous financial year 2024–25, he added.
The DTC's cumulative income from April to October stands at Rs 658 crore, showcasing consistent financial advancement, he noted.
“Under the guidance of our visionary Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, we are dedicated to restoring the Corporation’s former prestige. This also highlights DTC’s commitment to transparency, responsible management of public finances, and relentless efforts to enhance transportation services and last-mile connectivity,” he said.
Pankaj Kumar Singh emphasized: "These figures illustrate the beneficial effects of our ongoing initiatives to bolster public transport in Delhi. The enhancement in DTC's income and transparent operations reflect our promise to deliver safe, dependable, and affordable transport for every citizen. We will persist in supporting DTC in modernizing its services for a more effective public mobility system.”
This growth conveys a clear message about the Delhi Government’s firm resolution to fortify public transport and ensure efficient utilization of public resources, according to a statement.
In terms of ticket revenue, DTC has reported an impressive Rs 220.33 crore from April to October 2025. In the category of subsidies for Pink Tickets, the Corporation has secured Rs 235.56 crore, reflecting the ongoing success of the Delhi government’s free bus travel initiative for women, aimed at enhancing safety, empowerment, and access to employment and education.
In the Special Hire category, the DTC has generated Rs 63.40 crore, while the sale of passes has contributed Rs 36.38 crore. Notably, DTC has achieved Rs 102.04 crore under miscellaneous income (from scrap sales, interest earned, advertisement fees, and rent receipts), further bolstering its overall financial performance, he stated.
