Srinagar, Nov 8 (NationPress) Train operations between Banihal and Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir were suspended on Saturday after an eagle struck the train's windshield, resulting in minor injuries to the loco pilot.
According to railway officials, the bird collided with the front windshield of the Baramulla-Banihal train while it was en route between Bijbehara and Anantnag railway stations in the Valley.
The loco pilot, Vishal, received first aid at Anantnag railway station and is reported to be out of danger.
The train was promptly stopped to ensure the safety of passengers, which is always the top priority. A thorough inspection of the locomotive is being conducted before the train is allowed to continue its journey.
