Effective Governance Requires Compassion and Understanding: CM Saini

Gurugram, Dec 25 (NationPress) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday highlighted the significance of sensitivity and empathy in government operations, encouraging officials to perceive their roles as an opportunity to uplift the community and alleviate the challenges faced by the general populace.
While speaking at the State-level Governance Day event in Gurugram, commemorating the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna recipient and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, CM Saini made these remarks.
The Chief Minister urged the officials to approach each matter with compassion, asserting that when an individual approaches their office with an issue, it should not merely be regarded as a document. Rather, it must be viewed as a representation of the person’s suffering and struggles.
He stated: “If we can comprehend the narrative behind that document, we will have genuinely succeeded in our endeavors towards effective governance.”
CM Saini also paid homage to Bharat Ratna laureates Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya and Atal Bihari Vajpayee on their birth anniversaries, reflecting on their significant contributions to the nation.
He remarked: “Today is not just a significant day for all of us; it also motivates us to reinforce our commitment to building a better and more empowered nation.”
“Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s leadership was transformative for India. His vision and policies were crucial in advancing the nation both domestically and internationally. His guidance laid the groundwork for the India we recognize today, and it is this vision of a ‘Vikist Bharat’ that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to achieving,” noted the CM.
Chief Minister Saini stated: “Upon taking charge of public service in 2014, our government initiated a governance reform campaign, evolving from good governance (Sushasan) to service (Sewa).”
He emphasized that the success of such a campaign relies on Niyat (intent), Nishtha (commitment), and Niti (policy).
For effective governance, he asserted that there must be a sincere intention to serve, and policies ought to be crafted in a manner that eliminates opportunities for corruption.
“With the principles of Niyat, Nishtha, and Niti, our government is successfully realizing the true essence of effective governance,” stated CM Saini.
The Chief Minister noted that to curb irregularities in land registration, the government has launched the online issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from various departments, boards, and corporations, which are necessary for registration.
Furthermore, the Web-Halris system has been rolled out statewide to guarantee transparency and accuracy in land records, he added.
