February 5 Marks Delhi’s Liberation from ‘AAP’das, Claims Amit Shah

New Delhi, Jan 11 (NationPress) Union Minister Amit Shah engaged with leaders of slum clusters on Saturday, conducting a significant outreach to slum residents prior to the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. He launched a fierce critique against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leader Arvind Kejriwal, asserting that they have transformed into ‘AAP’das’ for the people of Delhi over the last decade.

Amit Shah, echoing PM Modi’s recent ‘AAP’das’ comment about the city's AAP government, encouraged the audience by stating that the election day, February 5, was an opportunity to liberate themselves from the ‘AAP’das’ in their lives.

“I am here to remind you that you hold the power to liberate Delhi. You can relieve the city from the multiple Aapdas (disasters). Keep this in mind - February 5 will symbolize Delhi's emancipation from ‘AAP’das,”” Amit Shah proclaimed, igniting enthusiastic cheers from the crowd.

In his remarks to the slum leaders, the Home Minister accused the AAP and its senior leaders of having 'deceived and misled' the residents of the city with empty promises over the past decade, leading to deterioration due to poor and corrupt governance.

“Today, I declare to the members of the AAP that you have turned into the AAPda of Delhi; you have transformed into a burden for the citizens. Moreover, Kejriwal has also become a AAPda for his own party,” he stated in a sharp rebuke.

He pointed out that AAP gained power by leveraging the anti-corruption movement led by Anna Hazare, only to set unprecedented records of corruption during its decade in office.

Contrasting the manifestos of AAP and BJP, he claimed that the AAP's electoral promises are merely fabrications, while the BJP’s Sankalp Patra reflects genuine commitments that are fulfilled.

“We promise what we deliver, and we deliver what we promise,” he asserted.

“The AAP has been a calamity for Delhi over the past decade. While the nation soared to new heights, the capital has descended into chaos. Open the tap, and you find dirty water; open the window, and you’re greeted by foul odors; venture outside, and you encounter broken roads. Celebrating Chhath is impossible without proper facilities. This government has turned our city into a nightmare,” Amit Shah remarked.

Amit Shah’s address, being the first after the election dates were announced, has invigorated the BJP’s campaign and motivated party members.

Notably, the Home Minister’s outreach program for slum clusters, termed the Slum Dialogue Conference held at Delhi’s JLM stadium, marks an innovative approach as political parties adopt creative strategies leading up to the 2025 Assembly elections to attract voters.
