New Delhi, Jan 30 (NationPress) Accusing AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal of continuously deceiving Delhi voters, Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated on Thursday that the anxiety of an electoral defeat has compelled the former chief minister to issue false claims regarding the Yamuna ‘poison’.

While addressing a rally in Rohini and urging votes for party candidate Vijender Gupta, Shah asserted that the AAP party is synonymous with “lies, deception, and fraud” due to their inability to fulfill various promises, including shutting down liquor stores in residential areas, making the Yamuna as clean as London’s River Thames, and increasing hospital bed capacity.

He questioned whether any resident of Delhi believes Kejriwal’s accusation against the BJP for contaminating Yamuna water.

“It is Kejriwal who has made Delhiites consume polluted water due to his failure to clean the Yamuna,” Shah remarked, encouraging the residents of Rohini to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi and bring the BJP to power in the city for effective governance.

Shah emphasized that the AAP is a party known for breaching promises, whereas every statement made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is unwavering.

He refuted claims by the AAP that the BJP government will terminate welfare schemes if elected in Delhi, assuring voters that “not a single welfare scheme in Delhi will be stopped” upon the BJP taking office, reiterating PM Modi’s commitment.

“PM Modi has strengthened the economy, enhanced security, and elevated the nation’s prestige globally through the successful conduct of the G20 Summit,” he noted, reiterating the BJP’s election promises, including financial aid of Rs 2,500 monthly for women, Rs 21,000 for pregnant women, and increased pensions alongside health insurance and educational sponsorship for underprivileged children.

He accused Kejriwal of misappropriating funds intended for Rohini’s development to construct his Rs 52 crore Sheesh Mahal – a symbol of corruption.

Shah urged voters to press the EVM button with such intensity that it shatters the windows of Kejriwal’s Sheesh Mahal on February 5.

This election presents a pivotal opportunity for Delhi voters to rid themselves of the AAPda (disastrous governance) that has transformed the city into a garbage dump and has failed in all aspects.

Enumerating several scams under the AAP administration in Delhi, Shah highlighted the AAP government's inability to combat corruption and hold Congress leaders accountable.

Referring to 35 drowning incidents in Delhi attributed to water logging, Shah declared, “Step aside Kejriwalji if you can’t govern without excuses; the BJP will show you how to fulfill promises.”

The Union Home Minister assured that Delhi would flourish once the BJP assumes power, and the water supply in the city would also see significant improvements.

He reiterated the BJP’s commitments for freehold rights for properties belonging to refugees from Pakistan during partition, the de-sealing of 13,000 shops, and health and life insurance schemes for auto-rickshaw, taxi, and e-rickshaw drivers, as well as gig workers and economically disadvantaged individuals.
