Fire Erupts in High-Rise Structure in Hyderabad’s IT Corridor

Hyderabad, Dec 21 (NationPress) A blaze ignited within a multi-storied structure in the Information Technology district Madhapur in Hyderabad on Saturday.
The incident occurred around 6 A.M. at a bar-and-restaurant situated on the fifth floor of the Sattva Elixir building in Salarpuria Sattva Knowledge City, falling under the jurisdiction of Raidurgam Police Station of the Cyberabad Commissionerate.
Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported in the city.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a cylinder blast, which led to flames spreading to the fourth floor.
The force of the explosion was significant enough to cause partial damage to a neighboring building.
This incident sparked panic among employees of a software firm located in the adjacent structure.
Firefighting teams quickly responded and successfully evacuated the employees from the area.
Thick smoke was observed billowing from the building, which is situated in the heart of the IT district known for its modern architecture.
Rangareddy District Fire Officer Shaik Khaja Karimullah reported that four fire engines were dispatched to the scene and managed to control the flames.
Senior officials from the police and fire services arrived promptly at the location. While there were no injuries, the fire resulted in significant property damage.
Raidurgam Police Inspector Venkanna indicated that initial investigations suggest a cylinder explosion, although the definitive cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The police have filed a case and initiated an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the fire.
This incident marks the third fire emergency in Hyderabad within a span of less than 24 hours, following two incidents reported on Friday.
In the previous cases, no injuries were reported in fires at Rajendranagar and Secunderabad.
The first incident involved a fire at a warehouse belonging to a textile store in Erraguda, situated on the outskirts of Rajendranagar, with officials suspecting a short circuit as the cause.
Another fire occurred at a pan shop near Taj Tristar in Secunderabad, where a lit lamp inside the shop is thought to have ignited the fire.
