Jaipur, Dec 13 (NationPress) Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat expressed on Saturday that the cornerstone of “New India” is established not merely through rhetoric and promises but through robust political commitment and decisive leadership.

He emphasized that it is the unwavering determination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that has enabled India to achieve self-sufficiency in strategic power, rendering it impossible for any nation to perceive India with hostility.

While addressing those present at the inauguration of Thakur Balwant Singh Bakhasar’s statue in Bakhasar, Shekhawat remarked that during previous administrations, terrorist attacks were rampant, with revered sites like Akshardham, Raghunath Temple, and Hanuman Temple being targeted.

He accused past governments of limiting their responses to diplomatic protests, whereas since 2014, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, terrorists now hesitate before executing such actions.

The Union Minister stated that even amidst incidents in Uri, Pulwama, and Pahalgam, the Indian Armed Forces provided decisive counteractions.

He highlighted the surgical strikes post-Uri and the air strikes that followed Pulwama as clear indications of India’s military determination.

He mentioned that Operation Sindoor, conducted after the Pahalgam attack, sent a strong message that “New India” neither tolerates terrorism nor submits to it.

Shekhawat noted that India is now enhancing infrastructure in border regions and fostering indigenous defense manufacturing employing advanced technologies.

He pointed out that while India once accounted for nearly 70 percent of global ammunition supply during World War II, this capability had diminished.

Since 2014, he stated, Prime Minister Modi has reinvigorated that confidence in self-reliance.

Transitioning from being the world’s largest arms importer, India has now positioned itself among the top ten arms-exporting nations, crafting modern missiles, ballistic systems, aircraft, and indigenous fighter jets like Tejas, which are garnering global attention.

Shekhawat remarked that the unveiling of Thakur Balwant Singh Bakhasar’s statue is not just a ceremonial event but a motivational moment that bridges history with the present.

He asserted that the statue embodies the valor, commitment, and indomitable spirit of border communities that have significantly contributed to national security.

The legacy of Thakur Balwant Singh, he concluded, represents countless unsung heroes whose sacrifices form the essence of the nation and epitomize the highest sense of duty towards India.
