Patna, Feb 18 (NationPress) In a notable operation on Tuesday, the Patna police apprehended four individuals linked to a land conflict that turned violent in the Kankarbagh area.

The confrontation occurred on Ram Lakhan Path, where the suspects fired shots outside a residence over a property disagreement.

Upon their arrival, law enforcement discovered that the assailants had taken shelter inside a house owned by Upendra Singh.

The police quickly cordoned off the area and summoned the Special Task Force (STF) to assist in capturing the suspects.

Armed with advanced weaponry, STF personnel executed a detailed operation, culminating in the arrest of all four individuals after a one-hour standoff.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Avkash Kumar stated that preliminary investigations indicate the conflict arose from a property dispute.

"The police are diligently scrutinizing the incident, including reviewing CCTV footage, to gather extensive evidence. The rapid response and coordinated efforts of various police units, under direct supervision, were crucial in resolving the situation without any casualties," Kumar remarked.

He highlighted that the police are meticulously investigating the incident to collect detailed evidence.

"Currently, we cannot confirm the exact number of criminals involved. The interrogation of the accused is ongoing to identify their accomplices and true motives. The initial investigation pointed towards a land dispute," Kumar noted.

"The process of filing an FIR at the Kankarbagh police station is underway," he added.

He remarked that a significant hostage-like scenario was averted thanks to the prompt actions of local police, STF, and the Anti-Terrorist Squad. The sanitization process is currently in progress.

"We have also deployed a dog squad and a Forensic Science Laboratory team to gather additional evidence," he mentioned.

This incident highlights the persistent issues related to property disputes in urban areas and underscores the necessity for prompt and effective law enforcement measures to ensure public safety.
