New Delhi, Dec 22 (NationPress) Following months of intense election campaigning for the Lok Sabha polls 2024 and various Assembly elections, Sunday offered a much-needed break for the Gandhi family. Rahul and Priyanka, serving as Congress MPs for Rae Bareli and Wayanad, respectively, stepped away from their formal duties to enjoy some quality 'family time' at the iconic Kwality restaurant in the city.
Joining them were their mother Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka’s husband Robert Vadra, their daughter Miraya Vadra, along with Robert's mother.
The entire Gandhi family gathered at Kwality to indulge in chole-bhature and other delicious dishes.
Rahul took to social media to share a glimpse of their family gathering, posting photos of them dining together on his WhatsApp status. The images quickly gained traction online, attracting numerous likes and comments from users who appreciated the family’s shared moments around the dining table.
The pictures showcased the family in a cozy corner of the restaurant, all sporting cheerful expressions. Sonia Gandhi was seen smiling, while Robert Vadra proudly held up a fully-stuffed bhatura.
In his status update, Rahul noted, “Family lunch at the iconic Kwality Restaurant.”
He further advised food enthusiasts, “Try the Chole Bhature if you go.”

Rahul Gandhi serves as the Leader of Opposition (LoP) and is an MP for Rae Bareli, while his sister Priyanka represents Wayanad, and their mother Sonia Gandhi is a Rajya Sabha member and former Congress president.
For those unfamiliar, Kwality restaurant, located in Delhi’s Connaught Place, was a favored spot for American soldiers during the pre-Independence period. Over the decades, it has remained a popular dining destination for food lovers, offering a diverse range of multi-continental cuisines.
The chole-bhature served here has been a beloved item for generations, attracting numerous regulars, including celebrities from various fields, with late actress Nargis being one of its frequent patrons.
