Lucknow, April 28 (NationPress) Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to embark on a two-day journey to his constituency Rae Bareli and his previous constituency Amethi starting Tuesday, where he will engage with locals and inaugurate several initiatives.
In preparation for the visit of the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Amethi MP Kishori Lal Sharma convened meetings with Congress officials and community members since Sunday to finalize arrangements.
Gandhi, who secured victory from the Rae Bareli seat long held by his mother and former Congress President Sonia Gandhi in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, will commence his visit from there on Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday morning, he is expected to inaugurate the Atom Solar Roof Plant and Atom Electric Charging Station, Visakha Industry Limited, located at Kundanganj in the district, and unveil a statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at Civil Lines in Rae Bareli town.
Following this, Gandhi will take part in a meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) in the morning, visit the Rail Coach Factory in Lalganj, and then hold discussions with Booth Presidents from the Sareni, Muraibagh, and Dalmau Assembly seats.
He will meet party leaders at the Bhuemau Guest House, where he will stay overnight.
On Wednesday, Gandhi plans to visit the family stronghold of Amethi, which he represented in the Lok Sabha for three terms starting from 2004 before losing in the 2019 elections.
In Amethi, he is expected to tour the ordnance factory in Munshiganj and inaugurate the heart unit at the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, operated by the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Trust, of which he is a trustee.
