Garhwa, May 15 (NationPress) In a major advancement towards enhancing the medical infrastructure at the city's Sadar Hospital, a cutting-edge liquid medical oxygen (LMO) facility is being established, under the direction of the Central government.
This state-of-the-art plant is expected to be operational within three months, ensuring a supply of pure and uninterrupted oxygen to patients.
As per Garhwa Civil Surgeon Dr. Ashok Kumar's comments to IANS, the construction of the plant is nearing completion, with its foundation work finalized.
“We anticipate the plant will be fully operational in the next two to three months, pending the arrival of technicians from the company to initiate operations,” he stated.
Dr. Kumar also emphasized that the oxygen generated from this facility will maintain a purity level of 99 percent, regardless of the flow and demand.
Explaining its functionality, he noted: “This plant will store oxygen in large jumbo packs, which will be distributed to patients via pipelines. This setup guarantees a consistent oxygen supply for all patients.”
During the Covid-19 pandemic, two oxygen plants were installed at Garhwa Sadar Hospital, but they are currently non-operational due to technical issues.
The introduction of this new oxygen plant will not only address the issue of oxygen scarcity but also enhance the overall quality of health services available to patients.
Dr. Ashok Kumar further remarked: “With the launch of this facility, we aim to provide superior oxygen support. Our goal is to ensure that every patient arriving at the hospital receives timely and pure oxygen.”
Although oxygen is currently available at the hospital, the new plant will significantly improve these facilities.
Many individuals faced oxygen shortages during the pandemic. With the establishment of this new plant, such circumstances will be avoided, allowing patients to receive timely treatment.
This facility is set to be a significant advantage not only for Garhwa district but also for the adjacent regions.
Health department officials are optimistic that such initiatives will elevate healthcare standards in rural areas, reducing the need for patients to travel to larger cities for treatment.
