New Delhi, Sep 19 (NationPress) Union Minister Giriraj Singh vehemently criticized Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP, on Friday, accusing him of inciting unrest and steering India towards internal conflict.
Singh's remarks were a direct response to Gandhi’s recent social media statement, which highlighted the pivotal role of youth and students in safeguarding India’s democracy and Constitution.
In a sharp retort, Giriraj Singh asserted: “Rahul Gandhi is frustrated and desperate. I have said it before; he often imitates Modi ji. He aspires to be an urban Naxal. Rahul Gandhi is already behaving like an urban Naxal. India will never accept an urban Naxal like him, who seeks to ensnare the nation in civil strife. At times he incites Muslims, at other times he spreads falsehoods, and his associates suggest that violence akin to that in Bangladesh will erupt here. This is regrettable. The Leader of Opposition in India has never behaved this way before. He is truly an urban Naxal.”
BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain also condemned Gandhi, alleging, “Rahul Gandhi is instigating the youth, students, and Gen Z of the country. He is inciting them against the nation. This is utterly unacceptable.”
He further remarked, “The youth of this country look up to PM Modi. They recognize that this government is working for them and for the underprivileged...”
The controversy erupted following Gandhi’s post on his X handle: “The youth of the country, the students of the country, the Gen Z of the country, will save the Constitution, protect democracy, and prevent vote theft. I always stand with them. Jai Hind!”
Giriraj Singh further accused Gandhi and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav of engaging in vote bank politics by catering to infiltrators and illegal immigrants.
“Now they are stripping away the rights of Indians, regardless of caste. Rahul and Lalu Yadav only indulge in vote bank politics. That so-called ‘Yatra’ was merely a cover for an infiltration protection rally, even if it wasn’t labeled as such. It was essentially a rally for Rohingyas and infiltrators,” Singh asserted.
