Bhopal, Aug 8 (NationPress) In the midst of a growing political storm regarding Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's allegations of irregularities in the electoral process, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav labeled the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha as a man with an Urban Naxal mindset.
CM Mohan Yadav asserted that Rahul Gandhi has previously questioned the Indian judicial system, then the Armed Forces, and now has begun to undermine the credibility of the Election Commission, which is vital to the nation's democratic framework.
"Rahul Gandhi's public attempts to damage the Election Commission's reputation reflect his mental bankruptcy. He embodies an Urban Naxal mindset," the Madhya Pradesh CM remarked in response to the former Congress president's accusations of vote theft, particularly concerning the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections.
Replacing Madhya Pradesh's longest-serving chief minister and current Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who led the BJP to win 163 out of 230 seats in the 2023 Assembly polls, Mohan Yadav strongly condemned Rahul Gandhi, demanding an open public apology from the Congress leader.
State BJP chief Hemant Khandelwal also criticized Rahul Gandhi, deeming his allegations of vote theft as irresponsible and suggested that the Congress Party should be concerned about him.
Speaking to reporters in Bhopal on Friday, Khandelwal stated that there was no evidence or foundation for Gandhi's claims of electoral fraud. This statement followed a visit by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia to his residence earlier that day.
Meanwhile, Congress veteran and former chief minister Kamal Nath, who led the Congress in the 2023 Assembly elections and faced a significant defeat, appears to have found some solace in Rahul Gandhi's assertions regarding alleged irregularities in the recent elections in Madhya Pradesh. "Irregularities occurred in MP Assembly elections in 2023," Kamal Nath posted on X, sharing a short clip of Rahul Gandhi discussing the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections.
