PatBhopal, Nov 6 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, remarked on Thursday that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is misleading voters in Bihar with his groundless accusations of vote theft related to the Haryana Assembly elections.
While addressing the media in Bihar, the Chief Minister stated, "In the past, Gandhi attempted to disseminate misinformation regarding Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), which the Supreme Court has already dismissed. He must act with dignity."
BJP leader Yadav, who took office as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh following the party's victory in the Assembly elections of November-December 2023, accused the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Gandhi, of previously blaming EVMs for his electoral defeat.
Intensifying his criticism of Gandhi, he added, "It's regrettable that Gandhi is attempting to mislead the populace by referencing the Haryana elections during the Bihar elections. His claims are not being accepted by anyone."
Mohan Yadav visited Bihar to support NDA candidates and deliver election speeches in Madhubani and Gayaji districts on Thursday, urging the citizens of Bihar to participate in strengthening democracy.
The first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections was taking place on Thursday.
"I urge the people of Bihar to join in this celebration of democracy. The NDA is destined to form the government, with Nitish Kumar as Bihar's Chief Minister. The public desires development," asserted CM Yadav.
It is noteworthy that during a press conference in Delhi on Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi unveiled "The H-files", alleging that the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections were stolen.
Gandhi referenced electoral roll data to assert that 25 lakh entries were fraudulent and that the Election Commission of India had colluded with the BJP to secure its victory. However, the poll panel refuted these allegations.
Additionally, Gandhi claimed that similar strategies might be employed to skew the ongoing Assembly elections in Bihar.
Earlier, Gandhi had also alleged that the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections were manipulated.
