Key Takeaways
Begusarai, Feb 17 (NationPress) Union Minister Giriraj Singh criticized Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge on Tuesday for his allegations against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), claiming that it would take many lifetimes for him to grasp the essence of the organization.
Addressing reporters, Giriraj Singh expressed that Kharge’s accusations towards the RSS were regrettable and asserted that even Rahul Gandhi, a Congress leader, would struggle to understand the organization.
“Those who follow Rahul Gandhi are merely his chairman’s descendants. Priyank Kharge’s statements about the RSS are regrettable. To truly understand the RSS, it is not Priyank Kharge who needs enlightenment—it would take many lifetimes for Rahul Gandhi to even start to comprehend it,” Singh stated.
He elaborated, “Thus, Priyank Kharge will never understand it. Even Kharge himself lacks knowledge, so how can he claim to know?”
The BJP reacted following Kharge’s comments in Bengaluru, where he accused the RSS—recognized as the ideological backbone of the BJP—of engaging in money laundering and raised doubts regarding its funding sources.
“The RSS operates through a network of over 2,500 organizations. They receive financial support from these entities. I assert that these individuals are involved in money laundering,” Kharge alleged.
He further questioned the RSS’s registration status and whether the organization considers itself “above the law and the Constitution.”
Continuing his critique while addressing the media on Monday, Kharge remarked, “No one knows the financial sources of the RSS. Approximately 2,000 or nearly 2,500 organizations provide support to the RSS through so-called dakshinas, both domestically and internationally; all are linked to the RSS. Where are they acquiring funds to lobby in the US?”
He went on to claim, “The United States government has disclosed a document indicating that the RSS was lobbying for nation-building in the United States. Where is this funding coming from? The citizens of India deserve to know how this alleged cultural organization is undermining the social fabric of our country. It is doing anything but nation-building.”
In the meantime, Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) National Spokesperson Vinod Bansal also condemned Priyank Kharge for his allegations against the RSS, asserting that he is part of a faction aiming to destabilize Sanatan Dharma.
Bansal stated to IANS, “Priyank Kharge is aligned with the same group that seeks to dismantle Sanatan Dharma and is persistently trying to eradicate Hindus, Hindutva, the saffron ideology, and Sanatan traditions.”
