Hyderabad, May 22 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, is prioritizing glamour while the state grapples with a crisis, according to K. T. Rama Rao, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President.
KTR criticized CM Revanth Reddy harshly, branding him unfit to govern due to his “erratic” actions, “misplaced” priorities, and “political dishonesty”.
“Revanth Reddy is afflicted by a severe psychological issue – Multiple Personality Disorder. That explains why he makes contradictory statements about the same matter daily,” KTR asserted during a media interaction.
“Over 580 farmers have tragically taken their own lives. Crops are being damaged by incessant rainfall. Yet, instead of visiting grieving families, Revanth Reddy is occupied with attending Miss World events on four occasions. Is this the leadership Telangana deserves?” he questioned.
KTR further criticized the administration for allegedly allocating more than Rs 200 crore to beauty pageants while claiming to have an empty treasury.
“Ministers have become tour guides for beauty contestants, a point even CPI leader Narayana has noted. Is this what we call governance or merely a fashion spectacle?” KTR challenged.
KTR mocked the exhibition of government projects to Miss World participants, questioning their political significance.
“Every project or building they were shown was established by the previous BRS government. Can Revanth identify even a single project initiated by Congress?” he inquired.
He claimed that the event is merely a diversion tactic to distract the public from significant governance failures.
“While SLBC tunnel workers remain trapped for months, the Chief Minister is parading on red carpets. This is a betrayal of the people and priorities of Telangana,” he stated.
KTR also condemned the Congress government for sending notices to BRS president and former chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao by the P. C. Ghose Commission, which is investigating alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project. He described this as a tactic of the Congress party to engage in “filthy” politics under the pretense of commission notices.
KTR remarked that this is merely a “cover-up” for their “corrupt agenda”.
KTR stated that the smear campaign against the Palamuru-Rangareddy project has already failed after the Supreme Court's comments.
“Soon, the same fate will befall the propaganda against Kaleshwaram. The genuine intent behind these notices is to cancel and re-tender projects for the sake of collecting 20–30 percent commissions,” he alleged.
