Bhopal, Nov 11 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel recently visited the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Tribal University in Rajpipla, situated in the Narmada district of Gujarat.
During his visit, he paid homage with a floral tribute to the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, bowing in respect. He was joined by local MLA Darshana Ben Vasava.
Governor Patel emphasized the university's importance, asserting that it reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for safeguarding and advancing tribal culture.
While touring the campus, he assessed the student hostel and accommodation facilities, engaging in discussions with the university management about its framework and future growth.
As part of the nationwide initiative “Ek Ped – Maa Ke Naam,” the Governor planted a sapling on the university grounds.
His arrival was celebrated with a traditional welcome, as noted by the Governor’s office.
Vice-Chancellor Madhukar Padvi informed the Governor about the university's mission to protect and promote tribal arts, heritage, culture, traditional medicine, language, and literature.
