New Delhi, April 26 (NationPress) The government is dedicated to creating cutting-edge greenfield industrial smart cities throughout the nation, declared the Minister of State for Heavy Industries, Public Enterprises and Steel, Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Varma.

He made these remarks at an event where the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) received the prestigious Udyog Vikas Award.

The event also highlighted NLDSL’s role in enhancing India’s logistics landscape.

Since its launch in September 2022, ULIP has unified 43 systems from 11 ministries, linked through 129 APIs and over 1,800 data fields, benefiting more than 1,300 registered companies and facilitating over 100 crore API transactions.

This technology-oriented platform embodies Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a cohesive, efficient, and transparent logistics network in India.

The event featured a technical session dedicated to the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme, offering detailed insights into the strategic vision, planning, and advancement of the upcoming Palakkad Industrial Smart City.

A specific session by NICDC Logistics Data Services Ltd. (NLDSL) further detailed the innovative digital solutions being implemented via the Logistics Data Bank (LDB) and Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP).

The Palakkad Industrial Smart City, covering 1,710 acres across Pudussery Central, Pudussery West, and Kannambra, marks a significant achievement in Kerala’s industrial progress.

Strategically positioned 21 kms from Palakkad city, 120 kms from Cochin, and 50 kms from Coimbatore, the project ensures seamless interstate connectivity and substantial logistical benefits, establishing it as a vital industrial hub for South India.

Equipped with strong multi-modal connectivity via road, rail, and air, the city is engineered to attract premium investments and foster regional employment and innovation, stated the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Noteworthy project achievements include having 81 percent of the required land already acquired and obtaining environmental approvals for all land parcels by January 01, 2025, among others.
