Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025: Women and Rural Communities Show Appreciation to PM Modi

New Delhi, Jan 4 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially launched the Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025 at the city's Bharat Mandapam on Saturday, which witnessed the enthusiastic participation of numerous women and individuals from rural backgrounds. All attendees expressed their sincere appreciation to the Prime Minister for the diverse schemes introduced by his administration, which have been a significant advantage for them, especially in rural locales.
After experiencing the first day of the Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025, many participants shared their personal narratives and expressed gratitude to PM Modi for empowering women and establishing countless opportunities in rural sectors. This festival celebrates the essence of rural India and is dedicated to transforming villages into flourishing hubs of progress.
In discussions with IANS, several participants recounted how government initiatives have favorably influenced their lives.
Meena from Kheri Jalab stated, “First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to PM Modi for his commitment to the development of women and our empowerment. We are thankful for schemes like Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Self-Help Groups, Sukanya Yojana, among others. We engage in dairy farming, and women now have the autonomy to make decisions and work independently.”
Another participant from Hisar remarked, “It was a privilege to meet PM Modi. I want to thank him for empowering women. We are now involved in SHGs, producing dairy goods. Since 2014, numerous schemes have been initiated, which are essential for the development of women. Women are now starting businesses and earning their livelihoods.”
Gurmeet from Fatehgarh Sahib also shared his gratitude, saying, "This was my first encounter with PM Modi, and I felt truly honored. People in rural areas are reaping significant benefits from various schemes."
Deepika from Mohali commented, "We are directly gaining from PM Modi's initiatives. Previously, opening a bank account was challenging, but now, with just an Aadhar Card, we can easily open an account. PM Modi is doing remarkable work for women and for everyone."
Sangeeta from Sikar mentioned, “We produce goods from Bajra. Under PM Modi's leadership, everything has transformed. We now have the independence to achieve our goals.”
Indira Reddy from Telangana shared her journey, “Five years ago, we began beekeeping without any knowledge. Motivated by PM Modi, I ventured into this field and now train over 1,000 individuals. We have received funding exceeding Rs 50 lakh and are benefitting from the schemes.”
Ram Chandra from Telangana added, “PM Modi's address has inspired us. Under his guidance, people are directly experiencing the benefits of government schemes. Both PM Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman emphasized how we can advance India through the implementation of these initiatives. They wanted us to understand that if we genuinely desire development for India, we must prioritize rural advancements.”
PM Modi also spoke at the inauguration, highlighting the significance of rural India and its potential for growth.
"Those of us connected to villages understand their immense power. The village resides within those who live there," he asserted.
The Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025, taking place at Bharat Mandapam from January 5 to January 9, is themed "Building a Resilient Rural India for Viksit Bharat 2047" and carries the motto "Gaon Badhe, Toh Desh Badhe" (If the village progresses, the country progresses). Over the next few days, it will showcase India’s rich cultural heritage, advocate for sustainable agriculture, and highlight the significance of financial inclusion and women’s empowerment in rural areas, with particular attention to the North-East.
