PM Modi to Launch 'Grameen Bharat Mahotsav' Today at Bharat Mandapam

New Delhi, Jan 4 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially launch the 'Grameen Bharat Mahotsav' today at the Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. This six-day festival, running from January 4 to 9, is dedicated to honoring the entrepreneurial spirit and cultural legacies of rural India.

The theme for this year's event is 'Building a Resilient Rural India for Viksit Bharat 2047', accompanied by the motto 'Gaon Badhe, Toh Desh Badhe' (If the village progresses, the country progresses).

Prime Minister Modi is set to inaugurate the festival at approximately 10:30 AM. The primary goal of the Mahotsav is to promote rural development through innovation, self-sufficiency, and teamwork.

Key objectives include improving rural infrastructure, advancing financial inclusion, fostering sustainable agricultural practices, and empowering rural women through entrepreneurial initiatives.

A significant emphasis will be placed on North-East India, with measures aimed at enhancing economic stability and financial security for rural communities.

According to an official statement from the PMO, the Mahotsav will gather government officials, thought leaders, entrepreneurs, artisans, and various stakeholders to discuss how technology and innovative practices can transform rural areas. There will be interactive sessions, workshops, and discussions focused on strategies to boost rural economies and improve livelihoods.

Cultural heritage will be prominently featured, showcasing live performances and exhibitions that highlight India's rich traditions and crafts. The event also aims to formulate a roadmap for collective rural transformation that integrates modern advancements with traditional wisdom.

The PMO noted, 'Celebrating Rural India’s entrepreneurial spirit and cultural heritage, the Mahotsav will be held from January 4 to 9 with the theme ‘Building a Resilient Rural India for a Viksit Bharat 2047’ and the motto 'Gaon Badhe, Toh Desh Badhe' (If the village progresses, the country progresses).'

By prioritizing sustainable practices, innovation, and inclusivity, the Grameen Bharat Mahotsav seeks to play a crucial role in fostering a self-reliant and developed India.
