Jabalpur, April 4 (NationPress) The discovery of hand grenade shells and empty cartridge shells in a well in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur district has stunned local authorities. An investigation has been launched to uncover the circumstances surrounding this alarming find.
Reports indicate that workers were cleaning an abandoned well in the Ranjhi police station area of Jabalpur when they stumbled upon some heavy metal items.
Upon further excavation, the workers realized these objects were, in fact, hand grenade and cartridge shells.
This well cleaning was part of a civic authority initiative aimed at promoting cleanliness within the city.
After the discovery, officials from the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation quickly arrived on the scene.
The workers continued to excavate, unearthing additional hand grenade and cartridge shells.
Following notification, a team of senior police officers also arrived to secure the area and collect the items for further examination.
