In 2022, GRSE achieved the unique recognition of being the sole Indian entity to obtain the Green Channel Certification for Portable Steel Bridges (Bailey Type) from the Indian Army.

Historically, GRSE has provided Modular Bridges to the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and the National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL), in addition to several state governments and allied nations, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka.

"The Bailey Bridge Division, while being a smaller segment, currently leads the Indian market. Our focused efforts to utilize our expertise in this specialized area, along with the launch of new products and an aggressive marketing approach, have propelled revenue from this division from Rs 69 crore in 2022-23 to Rs 140 crore in 2023-24," stated GRSE Chairman and Managing Director Cmde P R Hari, IN (Retd), during the Annual General Meeting in 2024.

On February 27, 2025, Natarajan Partheepan, General Manager (Bailey Bridges) for GRSE, signed the MoU with a senior officer from the 237 Engineer Regiment of the Indian Army.

The bridge will be constructed in Taksing, located in the Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh, near the border where the Subansiri River flows into India from China. The overall contract value for this project is Rs 3.13 crore.

In 2024, GRSE and NHIDCL entered into an agreement to deliver Class 70R Double-Lane Bridges to connect key forward areas along India’s borders to enhance the efficient movement of troops and equipment. GRSE has already provided 44 Modular Bridges to the BRO for installation across India," a GRSE official remarked.

The GRSE representative noted that the company has delivered over 5,800 Modular Bridges to date, aligning with the Union government’s initiatives for 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbharta' policies.
