Post-discussion, Sanghavi noted that industrial organizations in South Gujarat have established community kitchens to ensure workers receive meals and are not distressed by misinformation.
"Industries in Pandesara, Vapi, Ankleshwar, and Dahej have also implemented arrangements for workers’ accommodation and meals. We have ensured that five-kilogram gas cylinders are readily available for workers," he elaborated.
He advised the public against trusting or spreading unverified information on social media, warning of legal action against those disseminating misleading content.
Additionally, he announced the formation of dedicated teams in each district to combat black marketing, emphasizing strict measures against illegal trading of gas cylinders, petrol, diesel, or other essential items.
Officials reported that 118 community kitchens are currently operational in Surat and its vicinity to assist workers.
Industry representatives expressed that the meeting served as a valuable platform to address operational challenges.
