Ahmedabad, Oct 28 (NationPress) As the grand celebration of National Unity Day approaches on October 31, marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Ekta Nagar in Gujarat is alive with significant preparations.
To welcome guests from all over the country, the Gujarat government has established 11 spacious domes, ensuring accommodations for over 9,000 visitors, including a special dormitory for 1,400 police personnel.
These domes, situated near the Koyari-Garudeshwar Mamlatdar’s office, are furnished with cozy bedding, charging points, secure luggage stands, clean restrooms, designated sections for men and women, proper ventilation, and fire safety measures.
Beyond housing, organizers have devised a comprehensive support system: a registration desk, medical first-aid station, and modern restroom facilities, all equipped with continuous water supply and lighting.
Parking arrangements for 174 buses have been made, and the entire area is beautifully decorated with colorful fabrics, bright lights, and festive elements, creating an inviting atmosphere.
The event will reflect Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Rajya anek, rashtra ek; samaj anek, Bharat ek; bhasha anek, bhaav ek; rang anek, tiranga ek” (many states, one nation; many communities, one India; many languages, one emotion; many colors, one Tricolor).
Under the theme 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat', the celebration will feature a magnificent parade at Ekta Nagar — inspired by the Republic Day parade in New Delhi — showcasing India’s cultural, social, and regional diversity. The parade will include 16 contingents from various CAPFs and state police forces such as BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, and other state units. Medal recipients, including the BSF’s 'Operation Sindoor' heroes and CRPF’s gallantry awardees, will also take part.
Enhancing the spectacle, ten thematic tableaux from states and union territories — including Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Puducherry, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Manipur, Chhattisgarh, and Uttarakhand — will exhibit India’s remarkable achievements and heritage.
The parade will also include nine military and police bands, four award-winning school bands, and captivating performances like the NSG’s Hell March, Assam Police’s Daredevil Motorcycle Show, and a dog show by the BSF’s Indian breeds.
The Prime Minister will pay floral tributes at the Statue of Unity before attending the parade, where he will receive a Guard of Honour from the CAPF and Gujarat Police contingents. Following the parade, a 15-day cultural festival — Bharat Parv 2025 — will take place from November 1 to 15, celebrating India’s unity in diversity.
