The highly skilled team of doctors at IKDRC is leveraging cutting-edge technology in the field of kidney transplants.
Dr. Modi, who also serves as the Vice-Chancellor of Gujarat University of Transplantation, mentioned that the number of robotic kidney transplants is steadily on the rise.
The hospital introduced a robotic kidney transplantation service just last year.
“In the previous year, we completed 43 robotic kidney transplants, and our goal for this year is to exceed 100. All of these services are provided free of charge, as expenses are covered by the state government,” he added.
The IKDRC is dedicated to offering affordable healthcare solutions to underprivileged communities.
In 2025, a total of 318 transplants were performed under the Ayushman Bharat initiative.
In addition to kidney transplants, IKDRC has also become a prominent center for liver transplants, having conducted 86 liver transplants in 2025.
