Gandhinagar, March 7 (NationPress) The government of Gujarat has allocated Rs 1,333.62 crore in support for farmers impacted by crop losses in 2024 through the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF). Over the last five years, a cumulative total of Rs 7,802.4 crore has been disbursed, with Rs 5,852.8 crore coming from the central government (75 percent) and Rs 1,949.6 crore from the state (25 percent).
Minister Balvantsingh Rajput, speaking on behalf of the Chief Minister in the state Assembly, disclosed these figures and reinforced the government's dedication to aiding farmers, youth, women, and disadvantaged groups. He highlighted that the Gujarat government has consistently supported its residents during natural calamities, providing financial relief according to SDRF standards.
In collaboration with the central government, the Gujarat government has disbursed a total of Rs 7,802.4 crore under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) over the last five years to assist those impacted by natural disasters.
