Gurugram, April 26 (NationPress) The construction of National Highway-352W, which links Gurugram, Pataudi, and Rewari, is anticipated to be finished by December this year, as per officials.
This highway was initially set to be completed by March 2023, but various obstacles and modifications have led to delays in its progress.
Stretching over a length of 45 kilometers, this national highway is being constructed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) at an estimated cost of around Rs 1,000 crore.
The highway originates from Sector-84 on the Dwarka Expressway and traverses through Wazirpur village to reach Rewari via the Gurugram-Pataudi Road.
A total of 25 flyovers and underpasses are planned for this highway.
Upon completion, it will significantly enhance commuting convenience for travelers.
Currently, approximately 66 percent of the construction work has been finalized.
The initial challenge faced during the construction pertains to a six-kilometer stretch (from the Dwarka Expressway to Wazirpur village), which involves six high-tension electricity cables.
Four of these cables belong to Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam, and one to DDAL.
Additionally, there is a high-tension line from the Bhakra Beas Management Board that still needs to be relocated, but this matter is currently under stay at the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The construction has hit a snag due to these high-tension cables.
The Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) had previously established a rain drain near Gurugram's Sector-84, which now requires demolition.
However, the demolition work remains pending, which has halted the construction of the service road.
Furthermore, an underpass is planned to be built beneath the railway line in Pataudi, but approval from the railway department is still awaited.
Once the approval is granted, construction will commence.
A flyover connecting this highway to the Dwarka Expressway is also underway, with only 40 percent of it completed thus far.
Once the flyover is operational, it will facilitate easier travel from the Dwarka Expressway to Pataudi or Rewari.
"National Highway 352W will be completed by December this year. We are addressing several obstacles in its construction," stated Prakash Tiwari, Manager of NHAI.
